Pumpkin Chocolate Chunk Cookies
These little cookies are so moist and a delicious treat or snack. Recipe courtesy of Farmer’s Market employee, Paige Gill.
Ingredients

Farmer's Market Pumpkin

cup
shortening
3/4
cup
sugar
3/4
cup
brown sugar

egg
1
teaspoon
vanilla
2 1/2
cups
flour
1
teaspoon
baking powder
1
teaspoon
baking soda
1/2
teaspoon
salt
3/4
teaspoon
nutmeg
1 1/4
teaspoon
cinnamon
1
cup
chocolate chips
Instructions
Cream shortening and sugars. Add egg, pumpkin, and vanilla. Sift and add dry ingredients. Fold in chocolate chips.
Bake in 350º oven for 14 to 15 minutes
Notes
Chef's tip: For a crunchier cookie, use 1 cup of pumpkin instead of the whole can.
